TOM'S THE HEART AND SOLE IN BARBADOS
Young off-spinner Tom Sole picked up four Nottinghamshire wickets on the final day of Northamptonshire's pre-season tour in Barbados.
The Senior Academy player finished with excellent figures of 4-64 as the opposition reached 229-9 in their 60-over allocation.
Steven Mullaney top-scored with 64, former County man Riki Wessels hit 33 and Notts seamer Luke Wood - 'guesting' for Northamptonshire in the first session - dismissed team-mate Greg Smith!
Northamptonshire began their final batting stint after tea and closed on 89-3 with useful runs from Ben Duckett (43 not out) and Rob Keogh (37). The squad flies home on Sunday to continue pre-season preparations at home...where it will be a degree or two cooler than the Caribbean.
