Greene King extends sponsorship deal with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club

UK brewer Greene King has signed a major new deal with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club that sees them continue as the Official Club Sponsor. The new partnership has a considerable six-figure value with additional investment in equipment and is a significant vote of confidence in the club.

The contract, a five-year agreement, includes new dispensing equipment in the main bars and updated Greene King branding above the Old Speckled Hen lounge and logo sponsorship on the NatWestT20 Blast and Royal London 50 players’ shirts.

Ray Payne, Chief Executive of NCCC commenting on the new deal, said, “We are delighted that our relationship with Greene King is to continue for another five years. Greene King has given us a big ‘thumbs up’ by not only continuing but increasing their commitment with us. We very much enjoy working with the team and are proud to serve Greene King quality ales and products in our bars and function rooms.”

Joe Parks, Greene King on trade sales director, said: “We share a genuine commitment to top class cricket and excellent hospitality, so it was a natural choice to continue our partnership with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.

“Our flagship ale and the official beer of England cricket, Greene King IPA, as well as Old Speckled Hen, will be served at bars throughout the stadium, and we are investing to improve these facilities to offer an even better match day experiences for Club members and supporters.”

Greene King has been a sponsor of NCCC for three years and a strong working relationship has been a fundamental part of the success. Through their brands Old Speckled Hen and Greene King IPA, which is the official beer of England cricket, Greene King has enjoyed strong exposure throughout the seasons and across all competition formats. The brewer has supplied beverages to the club for cricket matches and all of the events that are held at the County Ground, from awards ceremonies and private parties to conferences and weddings.
