BEN GOES BIG - AGAIN - FOR THE LIONS

Ben Duckett produced another stunning batting performance to rewrite the England Lions record book against Sri Lanka A in Monday's Tri-Series match at Canterbury.

The Northamptonshire left-hander hit 220 not out off just 131 balls - featuring six sixes and 29 fours - to set up a comfortable 140-run victory for the rampant Lions.

And his unbroken second-wicket stand of 367 with Kent's Daniel Bell-Drummond (171 not out) was the joint-second-highest partnership in List A cricket - just five short of the world record set by Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels for West Indies against Zimbabwe in the 2015 World Cup.

Duckett's score has been exceeded only once in one-day cricket by an Englishman - Ali Brown plundering 268 for Surrey against Glamorgan back in 2002.

Duckett and Bell-Drummond boosted the Lions to 425-1 in their 50 overs, and the Sri Lankans were then dismissed for 285 in the 48th over to give the hosts another big win.
