MIKE MACDONELL APPOINTED TO THE BOARD
The Chairman of Northants Cricket is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Macdonell to the board. On announcing the appointment, Gavin Warren said, “I am delighted that Mike has agreed to join us. He brings with him a wealth of expertise that will only be of benefit to the club. His commercial acumen will complement the current make up of the board and as I have also asked Mike to sit on the Finance Sub Committee, he will no doubt provide advice and guidance to the Board, Ray and his team as they successfully implement our business plan.”
Previously a Director of Reliance Security and Owner and CEO of Springboard Research, Mike has recently sold his shareholding in the company he started and taken up non-exec and 'business angel' roles in a variety of companies.
Mike is no stranger to cricket and still turns out on Saturday afternoons in the lower leagues! His son Charlie has played second team cricket both for and against Northants and Mike is a level 2 coach and runs the very successful junior cricket set-up at Horton House CC with Chris Leonard, one of the NCCC age-group coaches.
