About Will

Will is a local lad, currently at NSB, Will’s dad David played for the Northants County Colts as the Academy was then known during the early 1980’s, alongside Academy Director Phil Rowe.

Will was injury free in 2016 for the first season in quite a while and the confidence in his body was seen with a number of stand-out performances alongside a greater level of consistency and threat with the ball.

This was never more evident than in the NCL T20 Finals day with performances of 5/12 and 3/17 in the semi and final respectively.

With the red ball Will was a consistent wicket-taker at all levels, often opening the bowling with his elder brother Tom where the partnership contributed strongly towards the ON’s landing the league and cup double.

Favourite Player | Ben Stokes because entertaining to watch and he does things that are unexpected

Best thing about cricket | I enjoy cricket because I like the challenge of beating the other player, whether it be me batting and beating the bowler or the opposite way around

Other interests | Racket sports and football
