About Charlie                   

Charlie is a technically correct opener who hits the ball hard off both feet and shows a maturity and temperament beyond his years, allied to an iron will to make the best of his talents and churn out scores.

2016 was a particularly pleasing season for this very popular member of the Academy programme as he found a way to apply his strengths as a batter more consistently, blunting attacks then going into other gears and dominating once “in”. 

A debut hundred (122) against a strong Combined Uni’s team in August was the highlight of a strong year and should give Charlie a springboard to achieve more of the same in 2017.                

With the ball Charlie’s opportunities came mostly in club cricket in the very strong Birmingham league for his club Shifnall and his return of 33 wickets at 16.6 demonstrate his ability to become a genuine all-round cricketer.
