Northamptonshire Player Number: 478

County supporters who’d followed the Pride of Dunstable’s solid progress from Northamptonshire’s Academy into the first team were delighted to see him break through in such a big way with his double-hundred against Hampshire at Southampton in September 2013.  A badly-broken finger during pre-season hindered progress in 2014 but he returned to action with a hard-working century against the Sri Lankan tourists, and a strong start in 2015 saw him produce an heroic match-saving effort – 163 not out in six hours – at Derby.  Last season he notched a maiden One-Day Cup ton against Durham but really made the headlines when his off-spin harvested 9-52 at Glamorgan’s expense, the sixth-best bowling figures in Northamptonshire first-class history and the best since 1958.
