Meet KEVIN INNES

When it comes to young cricketers Kevin has experience on both sides of the fence.

In 1990 he became the youngest player – still four months short of his 15th birthday – to play for Northamptonshire's Second XI when he turned out against Sussex 2nds at the County Ground.

He went on to enjoy eleven seasons as an all-rounder in the first-class game, first with his native county and then with Sussex, and even did 12th man duty for England!

After retiring he returned to Wantage Road as Performance Coach and now plays a crucial role overseeing the Emerging Players Programme which identifies and works with talented youngsters from Northamptonshire and beyond.
