About Flynn

Flynn joins the Academy having spent 2 years on the Northants EPP programme, impressing with his technique and maturity as a young batter and an increasing ability to spin the ball hard.

Flynn is another off the Norfolk young cricketers production line which has been a fruitful source of recruitment for Northants over recent years

Flynn represented the London & East region at the last summer’s Bunbury festival for U15’s and will now play age-group cricket for Northants, adding further strength to our U17 team.

Match Report | Northamptonshire vs Nottinghamshire

Northamptonshire completed an impressive 124-run win over Nottinghamshire on the final morning at Wantage Road to take the race for promotion from Division Two of the Specsavers County Championship into the final week.

DUCKETT SUFFERS FRACTURED FINGER

Ben Duckett will miss the remainder of the season after an x-ray confirmed a broken finger on his left hand ruling him out of next week’s final County Championship match against Leicestershire.

Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is sad to announce the death of former player Syd Starkie at the age of 91. He appeared 95 times for the club between 1951 and 1956.

DAY 2 REPORT | NORTHAMPTONSHIRE vs NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

Northamptonshire’s South African stars, Rory Kleinveldt and Richard Levi, combined to put their county on course for victory against Nottinghamshire at Wantage Road in a game they have to win to keep their promotion hopes alive. Levi’s sparkling second-innings 115 helped set Notts 314 to win before Kleinveldt extended his haul to 11 wickets in the match as Notts closed day two 33 for 2.

Luke Wood and Rory Kleinveldt took four wickets each as promotion-rivals Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire shared a keenly-fought opening day at Wantage Road. Wood helped bowl Northants for 194 before Notts replied with 80 for 5.

HELP FOR HEROES MATCH TAKING PLACE SATURDAY 23rd SEPTEMBER

The Help for Heroes (H4H) Cricket Club was formed in 2013 from the germ of an idea from a member of the Charity Wellbeing staff. He shared his own passion for cricket with a number of wounded, injured and sick servicemen at the Tedworth House Recovery Centre at Tidworth, near Salisbury in Wiltshire. The team played a number of games during that summer, including an inaugural game against the Northamptonshire County Disability Team. Our team comprises of both men and women, the majority of who are now veterans.

Northants have been set 218 to win and increase their chances of gaining promotion to Division 1, and at the close had reached 42 for 1, with Rob Newton and Simon Kerrigan at the crease. They almost lost a wicket to the seventh ball of the innings, when Merchant De Lange just failed to hold on to a return catch from Ben Duckett on 1, but Michael Hogan dismissed the former England opener shortly before the close.
