Welcome Back Seekkuge Prasanna!

Sri Lankan international bowler Seekkuge Prasanna will return to Northamptonshire for T20 Blast.

"Sri Lanka have some cricket but we are hopeful he will be available for the whole competition" said Northamptonshire's Head Coach, David Ripley.

The 31-year-old, who bowls leg-spin, played 11 times for the Steelbacks last season, taking 12 wickets at an average of 24 runs. He has appeared in 34 one-day and 14 T20 internationals for Sri Lanka, including February's series against Australia.

Northamptonshire's Head Coach, David Ripley, said: "He is very consistent with the ball, he's been bowling the power-play against Australia and doing a good job of that.

"There is a match winning batting element to his game which we didn't see last season but that we know is there. Ultimately, the more match-winners on your team sheet the better.

"He's a great character and we're looking forward to having him back in the dressing room."
