Stone and Levi injury Update

Olly Stone sustained a compact knee injury with anterior cruciate ligament and cartilage involvement during last Friday night’s NatWest T20 Blast match against Worcestershire and, as a result, he is unlikely to play again this season.

After scans and assessments, he has now been referred to Mr Andrew Williams, an orthopedic knee surgeon with specialisms in sports injuries who the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Medical Team has used with previous players.

Barry Goudriaan, Head Physio at NCCC, said “We will do all we can to support Olly through a programme of treatment and recovery. He couldn’t be in better hands with our local consultant Professor Bill Ribbans and now Mr Andrew Williams in London.”

Richard Levi is currently undergoing scans to ascertain the severity of a shoulder injury sustained during the Steelbacks’ first Royal London One Day Cup match at Trent Bridge against Nottingham. An update will follow in due course.
